A longitudinal survey of manufacturing businesses in Gauteng

This project will create a longitudinal survey of manufacturing businesses in Gauteng. The project will involve developing a sampling strategy that includes formal manufacturing businesses. A strategy to include informal manufacturing businesses will also be devised. The survey will be administered electronically and will consist of a panel of firms. The survey will include firm data, owner sentiment and responses to technological changes and other economic changes (climate change, skills development). The project will have a steering committee consisting of business, government and labour.
